For patients who want the strongest possible foundation for full-arch restoration — particularly in the upper jaw, where bite forces are highest. Performed by board-certified periodontists with over 10,000 implants placed.

Schedule Free ConsultationIf you've researched full-arch implant restoration, you've almost certainly seen the term "All-on-4" treated as a default. It's the most heavily marketed protocol in modern dentistry. But for a meaningful share of patients, particularly those with higher bite forces or those restoring the upper jaw, four implants aren't the right number. Six are.
All-on-6 follows the same core principle as All-on-4: a fixed bridge of teeth supported by dental implants instead of resting on the gums like a denture. The difference is the foundation. Six implants distribute bite force across more anchor points, reduce stress on any individual implant, and provide a more conservative long-term mechanical reserve — meaning if one implant ever has a problem, the bridge is still securely supported by five.
For our patients, the choice between All-on-4 and All-on-6 is made during the 3D cone-beam CT consultation, not from a marketing brochure. We measure bone density, evaluate bite force, examine opposing dentition, and recommend the protocol that gives you the best long-term outcome — not the one with the lowest sticker price.

The right number of implants depends on your jaw, your bite, and your goals — not on marketing. Here's how the two protocols compare across the clinical factors that actually drive the decision.
| Clinical factor | All-on-4 fits | All-on-6 fits |
|---|---|---|
| Jaw being treated | Lower jaw (mandible) — denser bone | Upper jaw (maxilla) — softer bone |
| Bite force / clenching | Normal bite | Heavy chewers, bruxism, history of grinding |
| Bone density | Adequate to strong | Softer bone where extra anchorage helps |
| Opposing teeth | Denture or other implant arch | Natural teeth or dense crown work creating high force |
| Long-term redundancy | Acceptable | Patient prioritizes mechanical reserve |
| Cost sensitivity | Higher (lowest implant count) | Slightly higher initial investment |
Most upper-arch full-restoration patients in our practice end up with All-on-6 rather than All-on-4. The upper jaw bone is softer than the lower jaw, the patient often has natural teeth on the bottom (creating high opposing bite force), and the additional implants meaningfully improve long-term stability.
For lower-arch cases, All-on-4 is more often appropriate — the mandibular bone is denser, and the four-implant protocol has decades of documented success there.
When patients ask us which is "better," the honest answer is: All-on-6 is generally more conservative and provides more mechanical safety margin, while All-on-4 is more cost-efficient when the anatomy supports it. The right answer for you depends on your specific bone, bite, and goals.
Get a 3D CT Evaluation
A predictable, four-stage protocol — from your first 3D scan through your permanent zirconia bridge.
Free consultation with Dr. Huang. Cone-beam CT scan that lets us measure bone height, width, and density at every potential implant site. Treatment plan with itemized pricing, written and given to you to take home.
Using your CT data, we design a surgical guide that determines exactly where each of the six implants will be placed — angles, depths, and positions optimized to your specific anatomy. Your custom temporary bridge is fabricated before surgery.
Under IV sedation administered by a board-certified anesthesia provider, failing teeth are extracted (if applicable) and six implants are placed using the surgical guide. The fixed temporary bridge is attached the same day. You walk out with teeth.
The implants integrate with your bone over 3–6 months. During this time, you wear the temporary bridge and eat soft to medium-texture foods. After full integration, your final custom zirconia bridge is attached — your permanent teeth.
We publish prices because the alternative — "starting at" pricing with major costs disclosed only after the consultation — is the single biggest source of frustration patients describe when they come to us for second opinions.
Our All-on-6 zirconia fee includes:
Total per arch: $19,995
Or financed: From $389/month with approved credit
If your case requires bone grafting, sinus lifts, or other ancillary procedures, those are quoted separately during your consultation — never as a surprise after surgery.
